Or send us the following information to plancton@ipma.pt:
Date and time of the sighting.
Location of the sighting.
Photograph of the organism(s), if possible with an object that serves as a scale reference.
Number of organisms: sighted in the same zone (0; 1-5; 6-10; 11-50; + 50; + 100; + 1000).
Any information is invaluable for continuous monitoring of populations of these organisms, including sightings and old photographs! It is also very important to receive information that gelatinous organisms are not found on the beaches (null sightings), which is the only way to know that they are not actually occurring.
